Be part of a world record!
On September 23, Consumers Credit Union and Nothing Bundt Cakes will attempt to host the world’s largest cake walk in Ah-Nab-Awen Park to benefit Kids’ Food Basket.
A cake walk is a cross between musical chairs and bingo. Participants walk around a pattern of numbered squares while music plays; when the music stops so do the players. A random number is then announced. The person standing on that numbered square wins one of our fabulous prizes. Once a person has won, they have completed their cake walk journey.
Registration will be available day of starting at 1:00 p.m. at Ah-Nab-Awen Park. The Cake Walk will start at 2:00 p.m. and will last about 30 minutes. Make sure to stop by the Nothing Bundt Cakes booth at the end of the event when you turn in your square and pick up your participation prize. (Take a peek at the bottom. We may have a surprise for you.)
Here’s how you can participate:
- Preregister with the form below.
- Join us at Ah-Nab-Awen Park in downtown Grand Rapids by 1:45 p.m. to help beat the world record. We will hold your spot until 1:45 p.m.
How the Cake Walk works:
- There is NO FEE to participate. BUT it is for a very good cause, so please consider making a $5 donation on your way in. OR donate an item from Kids’ Food Basket’s wishlist.
- Participants must be able to move from square to square independently. Wheelchairs operated independently are allowed, but strollers are not. Children should be able to walk on their own and keep up with the pace set by the music.
