Last year we asked you to share your 4th of July traditions and you responded with flying colors, (red, white, and blue obviously). Since our offices are closed on July 4th we wanted to share with you some of our favorite things to do around Independence Day. This list is sure to fulfill your favorites: family, food, fun, and of course, fireworks!
Concerts in the Park – Air National Guard Band of the Midwest
July 1 at 7 PM, Homer Stryker Field
A free concert featuring popular, patriotic and big band favorites.
Kalamazoo Growlers Red, White, and BOOM Night
July 2 from 7 to 9:30 PM, Homer Stryker Field
Kalamazoo Growlers vs. Wisconsin Rapids Rafters. Post-game fireworks and Tishhouse Electric’s Wham City Lights show.
July 4, Gates open at 6, McCamley Field
Fireworks begin at dusk, free admission but donations appreciated.

Kentwood 4th of July Celebrations
July 4 from 9:30 AM to 10 PM, Downtown Kentwood and Crestwood Middle School
The parade kicks off at 9:30 from Kentwood Community Church. The middle school will host fun events, games, and food before the fireworks.
July 2 from 11 to 2 PM, Leila Arboretum
Celebrate International Mud Day by getting dirty, and then rinse of with a run through the sprinklers.
