When you’re going on a trip, you’ve got a pretty big checklist already… Sunscreen? Snacks for the road? Flight itinerary confirmed? Tell your credit union you’re leaving?
Was that last one on your list? A lot of people may not think about it, but if you don’t want to risk a kink in your travel plans, make sure to let your financial institution know you’re going out of town! Otherwise, it’s possible that a transaction coming in from another city or state might get marked as potential fraud and declined, and no one wants to deal with that in the middle of vacation!
So how do you make sure this doesn’t happen to you? Notify us of your travel plans! Here are a few ways to let us know:
- From our online banking website, go to the Secure Forms tab in online banking, select Travel Notification and complete the form.
- Call our Member Service Center at 800.991.2221 and tell a Representative about your travel plans.
- Just so you know, they’ll ask for your location and your dates of travel.
- Let us know when you’re at your local Consumers Credit Union office and we’ll make note in your account.
With simple, convenient options like that, a travel notice might just be the easiest thing to cross off of your vacation checklist!
