Protect Yourself from Internet Explorer’s Security Vulnerability

Computer Security Microsoft has announced a security vulnerability in Internet Explorer versions 6 through 11 that could expose users’ personal data, should they visit a malicious or compromised website. A security update is now available from Microsoft Support to resolve this vulnerability.

Consumers Credit Union assures members that our network security blocks this vulnerability. In addition, all workstations, including Online Banking stations available to members in our offices, are protected with additional security software that blocks malicious websites.

This vulnerability does not affect other browsers, such as Safari, Chrome, and Firefox, which are safe to continue to use. Those who use Internet Explorer on their personal computers should be aware that they are vulnerable if they visit a site that is compromised and have not installed Microsoft’s security update. For more information and to install the update, please visit Microsoft Support.
