Chiron Herweg Attains Project Management Certification

Congratulations to our own Chiron Herweg who successfully completed the course work and exam requirements to become a Project Management Professional (PMP®). The credential, awarded by PMI, headquartered in Philadelphia, is considered the most important and widely recognized industry certification for project managers.

Chiron Herweg, Operations Manager

To attain certification, Chiron attended a 4-day class covering a 500-page textbook entitled the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK). Upon successfully completing a 4-hour test, Chiron needed to accumulate and document 4,000 project management hours and possess the appropriate college degree to qualify for this premier recognition.

A graduate from Michigan State University with a B.S. in Public Relations, Chiron currently serves as Operations Manager for Consumers and previously was manager for our Milham and Westnedge offices. Heading up our operations department, a team of six, Chiron and his staff recently completed the successful launch of our new mobile banking program for members.

“I’ve appreciated working with both members and my colleagues,” adds Chiron. “It’s given me a unique perspective to ensure members receive superior service both on the front line and behind the scenes.”

Chiron is from Kalamazoo and active with several local charities including Relay for Life, The First Tee, and Pretty Lake Camp. He loves to golf, is a huge Spartan fan, and enjoys spending time with family and friends.
