About

Why Us?

There are tons of banks and credit unions out there all trying to sell you something, right? “So why Consumers Credit Union?” you ask.

Consumers is different. Our #1 focus is you. We live to meet and exceed the needs of our members and offer them the best service possible. Our rates are typically the best in town and we promise not to fee you unnecessarily. And we try to have some fun as we go about making you happy.

Consumers team members live and work in your communities. We shop at the same grocery stores and walk our dogs on your street. The people who make decisions about your money are right here for you. That means no two hour phone calls being transferred back and forth, only to talk to someone you can barely understand and who can’t make any real decisions for you. The person you talk to can make decisions to help you.

And because we live in your community, we care about your community. Consumers participates in lots of local charities. Our employees donate thousands of volunteer hours and raise money for the MS Walk, Relay for Life, the Alzheimer’s Association Memory Walk, Senior Services Meals on Wheels, United Way, the Oshtemo Sunburst 5K Run, and more. And get this, we have our own employee-funded scholarship program, Dollars for Scholars, offering five $2,000 scholarships to members graduating from high school and continuing on to college each year. Check out our Facebook andTwitter pages to see what we’re up to right now.

We’re here for you to talk to. We want to help, make a difference in your life, and change the way you think about banking. Our goal is to offer the best possible on-line and mobile services for your convenience, but also to be here ready to help you deal with any problems that may come up as quickly and painlessly as possible.

We’ve been around the block a few times. We’re not going anywhere. Get to know us.
