Consumers Sunburst Run Sponsors Summer Movies in the Park


Looking for summer fun for the whole family? Join us at Oshtemo Township Park tonight at sunset for the first of this summer’s Movies in the Park presented by Oshtemo Friends of the Park. Tonight’s showing is The Land Before Time. Upcoming movies include: Thursday, July 18: Casablanca Thursday, August 15: The Goonies All shows are free to the public and sponsored by the Consumers Sunburst Run and the Kalamazoo Public Library. Despite a chilly race day, over 300 runners gathered on April 20 for the 4th Annual Consumers Sunburst Run. This year’s race raised a total of $6,440.21. Ten percent of the amount raised was donated to the Boston Children’s Hospital Marathon Program, which continues to aid in the recovery and care of children and families who were injured in the explosions at the 2013 Boston Marathon. This January 26th through May 19th Consumers is sponsoring the exhibit “Sight and Feeling: Photographs by Ansel Adams” at the Kalamazoo Institute of Arts located on 314 South Park Street, Kalamazoo, MI.
